The Zero Waste Wanderess
My name is Kathleen and my life goal is to live simply and creatively with less trash and a lot of adventures out in the fresh air.
I am a curious, free-spirited 28 year old woman from Pennsylvania. A year ago I came across the Zero Waste movement and instantly fell in love. The environment is where my heart is, and the idea of trash never made sense to me in the first place, so when Zero Waste came into the picture, I felt passion and purpose.
Likewise, I am an Ambassador for the non-profit organization, Be Zero which is where my journey began! I advocate for Zero Waste from an economic and personal lifestyle stand point because I believe in the importance of sustainable and mindful practices for the well-being of the planet, ourselves, and for future generations.
Beyond the Zero Waste
I love hiking, traveling, yoga, self defense (martial arts), photography, and being an Aunt. Traveling has always been an important part of my life: 21 states, and 15 countries. Recently I traveled solo out of the US to Europe. I am a college graduate with a Bachelors in Communications.
The mantra of the day is always, “it is what it is”. I truly believe that life is all about experiences and your attitude. I believe in Karma; what you put out there is what you will receive. I believe in stepping outside of your comfort zone at least once in a while and trying new things as much as you can.
Lastly, a quote I live by is, “I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other it’s beautiful.”
